Q. What happens if I am travelling alone? Is there an extra charge?

A. You won’t be penalised for being a solo traveller on most of our tours. Instead, may be provided with two options that save you money. Some companies offer a room-matching service that pairs you up with someone of the same gender whilst on tour, saving you the cost of a single supplement. If they are not able to provide a suitable roommate, they can provide a single room at no extra cost.

Or, if you are not interested in being matched up and prefer a room of your own, on some tours you can choose to pay a single-room supplement. Please check the detailed trip notes to find out applicable rates.


Q. Do I need Travel Insurance?

A. We strongly recommend that all members have a comprehensive insurance policy to ensure peace of mind before and whilst travelling. It is important that you protect yourself in case of trip cancellation or interruption for any reason, travel or baggage delay or loss of baggage and medical expenses.


Travel insurance is mandatory for all Peregrine and Wendy Wu tours, and you will be required to show documentation prior to the start of the tour.


As an RCI Member, we can arrange your travel insurance at special member rates. Ask your RCI Travel Consultant for details when booking your tour.


Q. Will I need a passport?

A. Passports are needed when travelling outside your home country. Your passport should be valid for 6 months beyond the conclusion of your trip.


Q. Will I need a visa?

A. You are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas prior to your tour departure. Depending on your nationality, you may need visas to enter certain countries and obtaining visas can take up to six weeks. Please see the detailed trip notes for visa requirements.


It is strongly advised that you consult your travel agent, and local Consulate or Embassy of the country you are visiting, well in advance to determine which visas you require and how to obtain them.


Q. Do the tours cater for vegetarians or specific diets?

A. Tour suppliers will endeavour to cater for all special diets and preferences. Please advise us of your dietary requirements at the time of booking and we will include the information within your booking to ensure you are catered for appropriately. Please note that in more remote locations options may be limited and some suppliers may not recognise all dietary requests.


Q. Do you accept travellers who need special assistance?

A. Any disability requiring special attention should be reported to us at the time the reservation is made so we can forward this information onto the tour company. Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate the special needs of disabled tour participants. Most tours require that a qualified companion must accompany travellers who need specific assistance.


Q. Can I bring a wheelchair on tour?

A. Most tours will allow a wheelchair, as long as it is fully collapsible, non-motorised and you are travelling with an able bodied companion capable of pushing you in it. Please advise us at time of booking if you plan to bring one so we can pass this information onto the tour company.
